MAMBO SWING
Mambo Swing is a band composed of true masters of this genre. Among them are “Yiki Lee,” “Junior El Tamboru,” “Ambiorito Conga,” “Orlando Piano,” “Jhonny Mora,” “El Rayo,” Pellé Peña, and others who have turned this musical project into an “All-Star” concept within the typical genre.
On December 5th, 2020, the Mambo Swing típica group made its debut following the announcement of retirement by its former leader, típico merengue singer Yovanny Polanco.
This band is composed of true masters of this genre, including "Yiki Lee," "Junior El Tamboru," "Ambiorito Conga," "Orlando Piano," "Jhonny Mora," "El Rayo," Pellé Peña, and others, who have turned this musical project into an "All-Star" concept within the típico genre.
Mambo Swing has already undertaken several tours in the United States, visiting cities such as Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, and various points along the East Coast including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and others.
They have also released several previously unreleased musical tracks, such as "El Mismo Aire," "Loco Contigo," "Amor de su Cama," and "La Lengua," the latter of which has become part of the popular repertoire of Dominican típico music.
Mambo Swing currently enjoys great popularity, placing among the top five most solid típico genre groups, a feat achieved thanks to their discipline and musical quality.
