Domingo Almonte, artistically known as Carlitos Almonte “El Acordeón 5 Estrellas,” was born on June 5, 1975, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. He is a musician, singer, accordionist, and arranger, recognized for his outstanding career in the típico genre.
He began his artistic career at the age of 18, joining important merengue típico groups, where he developed and perfected his musical talent. In 2012, he decided to launch his own solo project, quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought-after and beloved figures among fans of música típica.
