La Fiera Típica

Cristhofher Reyes Rodriguez, known artistically as “La Fiera Típica,” was born in Mao, Valverde, in 2004. He comes from a humble and educated family. He began his musical career in August 2023 and has quickly established himself as an authentic exponent of Dominican traditional merengue. Recognized for his talent and charisma, La Fiera Típica stands out for bringing merengue to new audiences by combining the tradition of the accordion, tambora, and guira with a fresh and modern style that connects with both young people and those who love this native rhythm. Additionally, he is the first openly gay traditional merengue artist, bringing diversity and visibility to the genre.
